I expect the assessments will start in the morning (not before 9.30am). Depending on how many subjects you are applying for, it’s possible you could be with us for the morning and afternoon. If you have not given me your name & email and you wish to apply for a place on one or more of these courses, please send me an email (email@example.com) before June. Thank you very much.Below are some brief details about the courses for your information.Wishing you all the best,Juliette………………..We offer free one-year courses to home-educated 14 – 18yr olds.EHE students (under 16 yrs.) can study up to 12 – 14 hrs per week: this translates as from one to three of the four subjects we are offering at GCSE level:1. English language2. Maths3. Combined Science (2 GCSEs)4. ICTWe also offer exam support and registration for modern foreign language GCSEs to those of our students (enrolled on one or more of the GCSE courses) who demonstrate a high level of fluency. These are not taught subjects and the students are expected to complete the bulk of their study independently. We are not an alternative to school, but a service for EHE children who have chosen to study a subject at GCSE level: it is important to note that these are not drop-in courses and a commitment to full attendance and punctuality is necessary. Each subject consists of 4 – 6 hrs per week over two days. All courses are free, including exam registration, etc.Prospective students will be invited to do a written assessment (for each subject they wish to study); they are welcome to apply for one subject, or more. Please note, your child must be at least 14yrs by September 1st 2018 to enroll for the 2018 – 19 courses. There is no catchment area for the EHE courses – students are fully funded and very welcome irrespective of where they live.
